Detective Sergeant Corey Richard, a graduate of Mitchell Community College BLET program has worked for Troutman Police Department for 3 years. He began his employment here on road patrol and became a Field Training officer for the department. After attending numerous schools, and training programs ranging from Fraud investigations, sexual assaults, and death investigations and along with his experience in law enforcement Richard was promoted to Detective Sergeant.

Mission statement:

As Detective for the Troutman Police Department I will provide the highest quality criminal investigative support to the Department by conducting timely, professional and thorough criminal investigations. I am committed to my responsibility to the department, town and citizens that I serve and will perform my duties in investigations in an ethical and impartial manner with sensitivity toward the needs of victims and witnesses.I will mobilize all available resources to provide superior investigative services to the citizens of Troutman.I will work closely with the officers of the department along with all local, state and federal agencies to counter and investigate the most serious crimes.
