Thank You Cheri for pointing out that the Fire Department information is incorrect, we rely on the Fire Department to provide us with their correct information, I will forward your suggestion to the Fire Department . Thank You again.
 cheri   January 31, 2012, 4:24 pm
It would be very useful to have the correct information on this site. The names on the Fire department are not correct, and are way out of date. This should be fixed as it reflects poorly on the fire department.

The National Junior Honor Society of Troutman Middle School is collecting blue jeans in a program called Teens for Jeans to help provide support for homeless teenagers. Donations can be dropped off at the school up until February 10th.

Hello all,

I'm writing an article for the South Iredell High paper on Troutman and families that have been living here for several generations.

If anyone would who is part of a long family line that has been living in Troutman, I'd quite enjoy your thoughts on the town and why you've chosen to live here.

Thanks!
Richard

I am looking to possibly move to Troutman and was curious if there is a website that list rentals in the area? For example, wilkes county has gowilkes.com. Anyone know if such a site exists? Thanks in advance!

Hello, is there any additional info noted for this weekends event at the fairgrounds? Nothing on the fairgrounds page about this Murf Entertainment. I have not seen any signs around town either. Just curious. Thanks

At the top of your list of financial sacrifices was a reuction of aldermans pay of 30%. How much was this in dollars? And where was your attempt to remain revenue nuetral the last time property was evaluated and my taxes went up over 30%?

No plans for additional grocery shopping have been submitted to the Town at this time.

Great job on the festivities on Saturday. Loved everything, something for all ages. Beautiful fireworks to end a wonderful day.
 Marsha Josey   July 3, 2011, 12:15 am
Thank you so much for bringing the fireworks back. We really missed them last year. The parade and the festival were awesome!!! We really enjoyed ourselves. The bands, games and the food were wonderful. i know that next year will be even better. Thanks to all for a wonderful job. Well done ;)

What happened to the proposed Bojangles at exit 42?
 Dave Ferguson   June 5, 2011, 11:24 am
This past week I had an emergency sewer situation and I just wanted to say thanks to the Town for answering the call. I own several homes in several towns and I can honestly say that T-town is the easiest to work with. Thank you Angela for connecting me with the right people
 K D Barnett   May 28, 2011, 2:02 pm
What is the latest on the development of Exit 42 that was supposed to include a Country Inn and Suites behind Arby's and a Wal Mart across from Lowe's? thanks.
 Webmaster   May 25, 2011, 8:24 am
That is correct. The War Memorial will be traveling a designated route thru the Troutman area with the scheduled time to be around 4:30 today.
 Debra Tatu   May 25, 2011, 8:16 am
I saw a sign at the Food Lion that a travelling Vietnam Memorial is coming through Troutman this afternoon (May 25th) at 4:30pm. Is this true?

I am pleased to see this 'Message Board' added to the Town of Troutman website. In these hectic times, many cannot attend Troutman board meetings so this will provide yet another avenue that the Town of Troutman citizens can get involved. Thank you.

Per DOT Regulations:

Progression of Speed Limit

20 mph from Red Light Cafe to BB&T Bank.
25 mph from BB&T Bank to Leon St.
35 mph from Leon St to Town Limits.
 Joe   April 13, 2011, 11:04 am
Andy the speed limit is now 35 coming toward traffic light the drops to 20 at BBT. Will be 25 down to 20 when changed.
 Andy Stevens   April 11, 2011, 10:44 am
I read in the February Board minutes that the Town of Troutman requested of the NCDOT the speed limit be reduced on Wagner St from the BBT building to Leon St. I agree that a speed reduction is necessary, however, would it not make more sense to reduce the speed from the traffic light at Main St. to Leon street? Otherwise, vehicles will be speeding up as they approach the light, and will accelerate through the light and need to begin slowing down when approaching the school crossing. Why have such a short distance of 35 mph to confuse the situation?

Good Morning Mr. Wright:

Thank you for your interest in the Lytton Street Project. The Town Board has voted to put this project on hold until they have a better understanding of the tax situation, they are waiting to see which direction the NC Legislature is taking on State Tax Collection Revenue.

Thank You.
 David Wright   April 5, 2011, 9:05 pm
I heard a rumor that the Lytton st. project has been put on hold or fell through.

 Phil   February 4, 2011, 10:48 am
The messege board is a GREAT tool for the community to communicate with all that is involved with our great small town.

I personally would appreciate a special board with any and all employment opportunities for the "Town of Troutman" on this web site as opposed to having to walk in the town hall. Thank you.
 david   February 1, 2011, 8:22 pm
I like it so far.... lets see how it goes.
 Webmaster   February 1, 2011, 1:56 pm
